With the new updates, you might sometimes notice that your browser looks different. However, there are a few ways that you can follow to see a pending update.

Step 2: Next at the top right, look at the More icon (three dots).

Step 3: If an update is pending, the icon will be coloured green, orange or red.

  • Green: Green colour means that an update was released less than 2 days ago
  • Orange: Orange colour means that an update was released about 4 days ago
  • Red: Red colour means that an update was released at least a week ago.

According to the colour, you may know that an update is pending or not. If any update is pending you can follow the below-given steps to update Google Chrome.

How to update Google Chrome on your computer

You can follow the below-given steps to update Google Chrome on your computer.

Step 1: Open Google Chrome on your computer.

Step 2: Next at the top right, click More icon (three dots).

Step 3: Now you need to click Update Google Chrome.

Note: If you don’t find this button, this means that you’re on the latest version.

Step 4: If you find the button click Relaunch.

The browser saves your opened tabs and windows and reopens them automatically when it restarts. If you prefer not to restart right away, click Not now.

Next time when you will restart your Chrome browser, the update will be applied. Keep in mind that your Incognito windows won’t reopen when Chrome restarts.
